Andrew Charlesworth’s unforgettable Inca Trail experience

Andrew Charlesworth, Technical Director – WarmCore and Aluminium Systems at profine Group, reflects on an incredible experience as part of the PiGs ‘Machu PiGchu’ charity challenge, trekking the Inca Trail to raise money for Harry’s Pals, named after Andrew’s son.
“What an experience! Completing the Inca Trail as part of our charity trek for Harry’s Pals was something truly special, and an achievement I’ll never forget.
“The challenge was incredible, but what made it even more memorable was sharing it with such an amazing group of people. The teamwork, laughter, encouragement and support we gave each other along the way made every step worthwhile.
“Harry’s Pals is a charity incredibly close to my heart, as it’s named after my son, Harry.
“The charity provides vital emotional support to parents and carers, helping families through some of the most difficult times in their lives.
“Being able to take on this challenge to raise awareness and support for a cause that means so much to our family made every step even more meaningful.
“I also want to say a massive thank you to the glazing industry. The support, generosity and encouragement we’ve received from people and businesses across our industry has been absolutely amazing.
“It makes me incredibly proud to be part of an industry that comes together to support such an important cause.
“A special big thank you to PiGs for all your support — it really has been amazing, and we’re so grateful for everything you’ve done to get behind us.
“To everyone who donated, supported us, encouraged us and helped make this challenge possible, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
“And to the incredible group who completed the Inca Trail alongside me, thank you for the memories, the camaraderie and an experience we’ll never forget.
“This was about so much more than walking a trail. It was about friendship, community, raising awareness and making a difference for families who need support.”
