AluK joins Made in Britain network

AluK has joined the official Made in Britain network of trusted and transparent British manufacturers.
AluK says it can now proudly display the instantly recognisable Made in Britain logo across its products, vehicles, packaging and marketing materials.
Trade, retail and commercial customers will reportedly be left in no doubt about AluK’s commitment to the UK and the advantages that brings in terms of accessibility, responsiveness and supply-chain resilience.
Becoming a member of Made in Britain network is said to be much more than a tick box exercise.
To qualify, manufacturers have to demonstrate that the products they manufacture undergo ‘a substantial and transformative change’ through manufacturing processes carried out in the Great Britain or Northern Ireland and that 100% of the labour involved in that process is based here.
They also have to sign up to a Code of Conduct which covers operating standards, health and safety, ethical conduct and environmentally responsible manufacturing.
Russell Yates, AluK’s Managing Director, commented: “Becoming part of the Made in Britain network is a natural fit for AluK and reflects something that has always been fundamental to the way we operate.
“We’re proud that our customers are dealing with a business which is genuinely UK based, with manufacturing, technical, warehousing, sales and marketing all located here in the UK.
“That matters because it means we can offer direct access to the people and expertise behind our systems, while also giving them confidence in the strength and resilience of our supply chain.
“Made in Britain also aligns with our ongoing mission to campaign for more government support for this industry and the skilled jobs it supports and allows us to join another powerful group which is lobbying for the interests of British manufacturers and promoting sustainable economic growth.”
AluK’s products can now be listed in the Made in Britain directory, and the company will benefit from increased visibility through Made in Britain’s marketing PR and communications activity.
