Endurance ‘harnesses the power of its people’

The Endurance Group says it is harnessing the power of its people to drive continuous improvement and deliver even greater value to its Installer Partners.
Through its ‘You Said, We Did’ programme, the business – whose brands include Endurance Doors and Endurance Aluminium – has actively canvassed the views of employees, using their feedback to increase engagement and identify opportunities to strengthen the business.
Endurance believes that creating a more engaged workforce has benefits that extend well beyond its employees, helping to support product quality and consistency, customer service, innovation and the retention of valuable skills and expertise.
Scott Foster, Group Marketing Director at Endurance, said: “Our people have an enormous influence on the products and service we provide, so investing in employee engagement ultimately represents an investment in our customers too.
“By creating an environment where people feel listened to and valued, we can encourage greater pride in their work, give people the freedom to generate new ideas, along with retaining the skills and experience that are so important to our business.”
The approach is supported by research from global workplace analytics and advisory company Gallup, which has reportedly identified that engaged employees take more pride in their work, ultimately leading to a consistently higher quality product.
Retention is said to be particularly important for Endurance, given the craftsmanship involved in manufacturing its products.
Scott continued: “Our windows and doors are not mass-produced, machine-made commodity products. They involve a considerable degree of craftsmanship, which means the knowledge and experience developed by time-served employees has real value.
“Retaining that expertise within the business helps us maintain the consistently high standards our customers expect, while ensuring valuable skills can continue to be shared throughout our workforce.”
The ‘You Said, We Did’ programme forms part of Endurance’s wider commitment to continuous improvement and its focus on how identifying opportunities to enhance the experience for employees has a positive knock-on effect for customers.
Scott concluded: “We’re extremely proud of the progress we’ve made already with ‘You Said, We Did’, but this is just the beginning.
“We will continue to listen to our team and act upon what they tell us because creating a better business for our people helps us become a better partner for our customers too.”
